What it involves

At Centre Revisions La Seu we are a Driver Assessment Centre authorised by the Spanish traffic authority (DGT). We issue the medical certificates needed both to obtain and to renew your driving licence, and we handle the renewal directly with the DGT so you don't have to worry about any extra paperwork. If you only need to renew, you won't have to take any driving test again — just pass the corresponding medical.

When do you need this medical?

Getting any driving licence for the first time.
Renewing a licence that is about to expire.
Renewing a licence that has already expired (while expired, you cannot drive until you renew it).

What does the check-up involve?

The check-up is simple, quick and fully guided by our medical team. During the visit we carry out:

Clinical history and medical assessment.
Vision test.
Hearing test.
Assessment of psychomotor coordination and reflexes.
Evaluation of your general health and the fitness needed to drive safely.

What to bring

Valid DNI or NIE.
A valid passport, if you hold neither a DNI nor an NIE.
Your current driving licence, if this is a renewal.

We take the licence photo at the centre; you don't need to bring one.

How does it work?

  1. You book an appointment (always by appointment).
  2. We carry out the medical check-up.
  3. We take your photo and digital signature.
  4. For renewals, we submit all the paperwork to the DGT online.
  5. We give you a provisional licence so you can keep driving until the final one reaches your home.

Duration

Between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the case.
